It’s important that guests cannot exit your photo booth screens, but you need a controlled way out.
When the booth has a keyboard attached just hit the Escape key from the Breeze Ready screen.
To exit using the touch screen, you need a hidden button. Ideally combine this with password protection.
Adding the secret button and password
This page explains how to add a hidden exit to both DSLR Remote Pro and Webcam Photobooth. Add the exit command to your touch screen settings.
Getting to the touchscreen settings in DSLR Remote Pro
Getting to the touchscreen settings in Webcam Photobooth
(1) Start the program and go to the touch screen settings for your Ready screen. There will be a short pause before you see the next screen:
Right click anywhere on this screen to show the current screen and add new actions.
Actions make something happen when the screen is touched in a particular area. This screen already has actions to start the booth and switch between color and black & white. We are going to add a new action to exit the Ready screen.
(2) Select Add Action
(3) Choose the action Exit Full screen photobooth from the drop down list
(4) Drag and drop the action to a convenient location. Use an empty corner of your screen for hidden buttons. Guests won’t see them but you and your staff will find them easily.
(5) Right click again and choose Exit
6) Add a password in case a guest guesses the location of your button, or touches it by mistake.
Remember to save your changes as you leave each screen.
What this looks like in practice
Your Ready screen looks exactly the same, there is no clue that the button exists:
Anyone finding the secret button the can’t exit the booth without knowing the exit password I added at (6) .
Adding other actions to your screens
Touch screen actions are powerful tools which give Breeze programs enormous flexibility. Use them to access the reprint selection screen, an information or T&C screen, add choices using profiles and much more.

Touch free booth control
Offer your clients totally hands free operation and a better guest experience with contactless data collection, touchless start, and fast hygenic sharing.
For total control have guests enter data into your own webpage, generating a unique QR code they can use to power virtually every aspect of the booth. Feel free to start from this sample PHP script
Touch free sharing
Improve guest experience, encourage repeated sharing and reduce queuing. Guests enter their email addresses once using their smart phone, and scan their unique QR code each time they want to share an image.
Fantastic for festivals, theme parks and other large venues with multiple booths. Great for groups – everyone quickly scans their details into the sharing screen to receive a copy of the image.
Turning the QR code concept on it’s head, you can also display a QR code on your sharing screen for guests to scan with their smart phone. Use this to direct guests to your online gallery for immediate social sharing.
Pre-registration
Pre-register your guests as they wait in line. Each guest receives a unique QR code they use to control your booths and kiosks. Make this a fun and efficient way to collect valuable data.
Use Breeze Booth for iPad registration stations for engaging surveys and printed badges with the QR code, or design your own webpages to collect the same data and generate the code without guests touching a booth.

*Update July 2022: The following Breeze programs and subsequent releases support Gmail authentication
Gmail users now need to ‘authenticate’ ie approve third party applications which send emails from their gmail accounts.
If you do not use gmail to send emails from Breeze, this post does not affect you.
The latest release of DSLR Remote Pro (v3.15) adds support for Gmail’s new authentication requirements.
You will need to authenticate Gmail emails for Breeze on every PC sending gmail emails from DSLR Remote Pro. The remainder of this post explains how to do this.
How to get your Gmail emails working again:
DSLR Remote Pro 3.15 users should go to the Email Server Settings screen, and
(1) Set Host to gmail.
You may need to select OK, then return to Email Server Settings window before you see the Gmail authenticate… button.
Select Gmail authenticate… to go through Google’s online authentication process.
When you press Gmail authenticate.. for the first time, a web page is displayed where you complete the authentication process. When you finish, Google sends you an email confirming what you have done :
If you have more than one gmail account, you may be asked to select the one you use to send emails from Breeze.
Give the program permission to send emails on your behalf:
Confirm the level of access you are giving to the program. Breeze apps just need consent to send emails.
Google will confirm that the app can send emails, and you can close the browser window.
Google also send an email confirming that you have allowed Breeze Booth to send emails:
Before you leave the DSLR Remote Pro Email Server Settings screen, send yourself a test email (2):
(3) DSLR Remote Pro displays a message confirming that you have been sent a test email
Please Note: if you are using a free Gmail account, the Email address used at (4) will be ignored by Google and the email will be sent using your ***@gmail.com email address:
What about other Breeze programs?
We will be adding Gmail authentication support to our other Windows apps in the next release of each program.
For the time being we suggest using an alternative email service to send emails from Breeze
