Breeze Booth 1.0.8 and 1.0.7 round up

We have released two new Breeze Booth  upgrades in the last few weeks. These upgrades are free to all Breeze Booth for iPad/iPhone users.

  • Breeze Booth 1.0.8 introduces QR codes on prints, and increases the number of menus from 2 to 4.
  • Breeze Booth 1.0.7 improved customization of the Start button.

Why put QR codes on my prints?

QR (Quick Response) codes are a fast and simple way to drive guests to

  • Online gallery/microsites for your event
  • Guests’ own images in your microsite
  • Specific landing page and website
  • Discounts and promotions

QR codes are increasingly popular, as many smart phone cameras include a built in QR code reader. ( There is no need to download a special app, just point the camera at the QR code.)

BTW Our sharing app Breeze Kiosk can also show QR codes on the main display which take guests straight to their images in event microsites.

Menus

Menus are a simple way to offer guests choices  such as virtual props or filter style. Use up to 4 different menus in your ready screens.

Start button customization

Do you want to deploy remote and unattended iPads without fear of clients knowing what software you use?

Breeze Booth features the most powerful and flexible interface designer of any iPad app in the industry. You can already customize  the Breeze Booth start screen and Start button . Breeze Booth 1.0.7 improved customization of the Start button.

The flexibility built in to our interface design is also great for localization and creative interface design.

Windows 7 support ends for Breeze software

Many of you will know that Microsoft are ending support for Windows 7 today.

Breeze will also end support for our software running on Windows 7 on January 14th.

Once Microsoft end Windows 7 support, we cannot test or support our products on this operating system safely. We strongly recommend anyone still running Breeze programs on Windows 7 upgrades to Windows 10 as soon as possible.

I’m still running Breeze on Windows 7, will the program stop working on January 14th?

If you are already running a Breeze program on Windows 7, we don’t expect it to stop working. However we recommend you upgrade your operating system to Windows 10 as soon as possible. Take a copy of both registration name and code, and deactivate the license (where needed) before you start in case of problems.

How do I tell whether my license is activated?

If you are not sure, start the program, click on Help then Register. This will display the registration window. If the license is activated there is a Deactivate.. button in the registration window as below:

Breeze licenses which are activated have a Deactivate… button on the registration screen

If your Breeze license is curently activated, you should deactivate it before upgrading Windows. If you need help, email support@breezesys.com .

Can I still upgrade my old Breeze license?

Any customer with a valid license for a current Breeze product can buy an upgrade license. All our Windows products include at least one year of free upgrades from the date the license was issued.

Breeze Kiosk 1.6: sign & draw on prints away from the booth

What’s new in Breeze Kiosk 1.6?

  • New signing and drawing screen
  • Guests choose the frame for their own print in the drawing/signing screen
  • Emojis/stickers/virtual props
  • Fix for reliability issue playing videos caused by recent Windows updates.

New signing and drawing screen

Guests love to sign, write messages and decorate their own prints. At a busy event, their enthusiasm for this can lead to long lines waiting to use the booth. Moving this feature to Kiosk has several advantages

  • Keep the line moving and reduce queuing at the booth
  • Guests can make, print and share different versions of each photo/print
  • Original is still available to view, reprint and share

Guests choose their own print frame

Offer your guests a choice of print borders or overlays on the signing/drawing screen.

Choosing a frame with Breeze Kiosk 1.6

Add emojis/stickers/virtual props

We have included these emoji/basic props to start you off:

Icons supplied by EmojiOne

You can also create or source your own custom prop sets. All you need is jpg or png images on a transparent background. Choose whether to display them on a white or gray background.

This custom set of virtual props are png images with  transparent backgrounds.White props show up well against a gray background (Breeze Kiosk 1.6)

Guests can rotate, expand and shrink the props.

Rotating a virtual prop

Kiosk keeps both the original image and decorated versions

Guests can browse, print and share both the original and decorated versions of each image

The original image is still available to view, reprint and share. Guests can make as many decorated versions of it as they wish.

Note: Kiosk lets you limit the number of prints made from each original image as well as the total number of prints at the event. So there’s no need to  worry about guests running off endless prints.
